Junior High Powerlifters host Oriole Open: LHS Powerlifters to compete at State this Saturday
On Saturday, Feb. 28 Lennox hosted the Second Annual Oriole Open Junior High Powerlifting meet. Fifty-eight lifters from Lennox, Baltic, and Centerville competed with first, second, and third place finishers recognized in their respective weight classes. LHS boys earn three wins in a span of four days

LHS girls wrap up regular season claiming Conference Championship
Last week the Lennox High School girls’ basketball team wrapped up their regular season with wins over Beresford and Tri-Valley, claiming the DAK XII Conference title in the process. The Lennox Junior High powerlifters will be having their final meet of the season this Saturday, Feb. 28 at Lennox. The meet will be held in the main gym with doors opening at 7:30 a.m. and lifting beginning at 9 a.m. The meet will showcase the Lennox Junior High lifters as well as lifters from Baltic and Centerville. “This will be a great opportunity for our athletes to display their hard work this winter as they look to break numerous school and personal records,” said c

The Lennox High School wrestling teams turned in an impressive performance at the Region meets last week, with six Oriole wrestlers qualifying for the State Tournament after top podium finishes. The girls competed Thursday, Feb. 19 at Elk Point-Jefferson, qualifying three athletes, while the boys took to the mat Friday, Feb. 20 at the Region 2A Meet, also qualifying three. LHS boys dominate with 58-28 win over Pine Ridge
Cole Spieler takes the three. On Friday, Feb. 13 the Lennox High School boys’ basketball team traveled to the University of South Dakota to take on Pine Ridge. Lennox came out strong and never looked back, getting the 58-28 victory. “This was as good of a game as the boys have played defensively all season. Sauers claims State Title at Middle School State Wrestling Meet: Vandehoef earns runner up honors, several others make the podium
Lennox middle school wrestlers traveled to Pierre this past weekend to compete in the Middle School State Wrestling Tournament, with several athletes earning podium finishes against top competition from across South Dakota. Leading the way for Lennox was Khloe Sauers, who captured the 155-pound state championship. Sauers battled through a competitive bracket to secure the top spot on the podium. The Lennox High School girls’ basketball team enjoyed a busy week of basketball last week, defeating Elk Point Jefferson and Baltic, before falling to Hamlin in a tight match-up against two of the top teams in the State on Saturday, Feb. 7.
