LHS volleyball team takes fourth at Conference Tournament
The Lennox High School Oriole volleyball went into the DAK XII Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 18 as a fourth-place seed. Lennox’s first match-up was against fifth seed West Central. In their two previous match-ups this season, Lennox was the victor. This time was no different as Lennox won the match 25-14, 25-27 and 25-15. The Lennox High School cross country program had a day to remember on Friday, Oct. 17, as both the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams captured Region 3A Championships, earning their entire squads a trip to the State Meet this Saturday, Oct. 25, in Huron. Lennox High School cross country runners turned in strong performances at the Dakota XII Conference Championships held Thursday, Oct. 9, in Canton. On Saturday, Oct. 11 the Lennox High School Oriole volleyball team hosted Class AA Pierre Governors in an afternoon match. Set one started out with Mallorie Bittner getting a kill out of the middle to earn the first point of the game and then the set progressed with back-and-forth scoring. Bri Slack and Karlie Bosma earned fifth place at State in Flight 2 doubles. The Class A High School state tennis tournament was held Oct. 6 and 7 at Tomar Park in Sioux Falls. On Monday, Oct. 6 and Tuesday, Oct. 7 two Lennox High School golfers — Griffen Boomgarden and Wyatt Holland, competed in the 2025 State A Golf Meet held at The Bluffs in Vermillion.
