Lennox Independent is published by Independent Publishing, L.L.C., which is a family business, owned by Debbie Schmidt and her daughter, Kelli Bultena, located in Lennox. SD. The company boasts the longevity of 138 years of publishing with The Lennox Independent being established in 1884.
In 2010 Independent Publishing, L.L.C. began publication of Tea Weekly, a weekly newspaper for the community of Tea. Tea Weekly is now an official newspaper for the Tea Area School District and the City of Tea.
Our focus has always been, and continues to be, great, local news coverage—not only city council meetings and new business ventures, but local columnists, births, obituaries, weddings and plenty of coverage for the home teams. We believe all of this local news should be published free of charge.
