Lennox 12u wins SD VFW Alpha Division State Championship
Team members celebrate after claiming the State Championship. The Lennox Orioles 12u baseball team competed in the 2026 VFW State Baseball Alpha Division Tournament in Beresford, South Dakota July 17-19 and came away with the State Championship. Twelve teams participated in the State tournament. The Orioles started pool play with a 5-3 loss to Dell Rapids Light Blue then won the second pool play game against Canton 28-2. Lennox Bandits advance to State B Amateur Tournament
The Lennox Bandits are headed to the 2026 South Dakota Class B State Amateur Baseball Tournament after splitting a pair of games in the District 7B Tournament last week. Lennox opened the tournament with an 11-8 victory over the Beresford Blues before falling 11-1 to the Larchwood Diamonds in the semifinal round. Lennox 14U finishes fourth at State
The Lennox 14U Legion baseball team battled through a challenging weekend at the South Dakota State Tournament, opening with an extra-inning victory before ultimately finishing fourth in the state. Lennox defeated Elk Point-Jefferson 7-5 in eight innings on Friday, July 24, before falling to Madison, 11-0, on Saturday and Dell Rapids, 8-1, on Sunday. Lennox Senior Legion opens Region tournament with win, ends season shy of State
The Lennox Senior Legion baseball team opened Region 3B tournament play with an impressive victory before coming up just short of a berth in the Class B State Tournament. Lennox defeated Beresford Area 8-4 in its opening-round game Tuesday, July 21, before suffering a heartbreaking 5-4 loss to Dakota Valley on Wednesday, July 22. 4-H members shine at Turner County 4-H Horse Show
Seventeen Turner County 4-H members participated in the 2026 Tuner County 4-H Horse Show on Friday, June 26th in Parker. BJ Peterson was the judge for the event, Paxton Dubbelde was the ring steward, and MC Chris Richards entertained the crowd. The Lennox School District is preparing to welcome students back for the 2026-27 school year with district-wide picture day, registration reminders, parent-teacher conferences and open house events throughout August.
