American Bank & Trust completes major main street remodel: Renovations bring updated teller area, expanded offices, improved drive-up service and additional staff
Since American Bank & Trust purchased Valley Exchange Bank in 2023, they have been operating out of the same space. In September 2025, they started construction on a remodel project for the bank building on Main Street. Council renews Sunnyside License amid calls for stricter compliance
The Lennox City Council met Monday, August 10. The City Council previously issued a 90-day extension on the license for Sunnyside Mobile Home Park. “Back in June, you issued a 90-day extension on the license for this mobile home park, given documented concerns with the conditions of the park. A new chapter in Lennox High School athletics will begin this Friday, Aug. 14, when the Lennox girls’ soccer team takes the field at West Central for the first game in program history. School board approves handbooks, policies
The Lennox School Board met Aug. 10 and approved handbooks and policy updates. The board approved student handbooks, as well as handbooks for Totally Kids and Sunshine Preschool. Superintendent Adam Shaw noted that the student handbook’s behavior matrix needs to be updated so that it can more accurately address behavior issues that are more age appropriate for the different grades. The Lennox Orioles 12u baseball team started their season practicing indoors in January with the goal of building off last season’s 11u and 12u successes.
