Lennox High School cross country teams to compete at State this Saturday
The Lennox High School cross country program had a day to remember on Friday, Oct. 17, as both the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams captured Region 3A Championships, earning their entire squads a trip to the State Meet this Saturday, Oct. 25, in Huron. The LHS varsity girls were once again led by freshman standout Adie McVey, who crossed the line in second place with a time of 18:58.31. Orioles find success at DakXII Conference Meet
Lennox High School cross country runners turned in strong performances at the Dakota XII Conference Championships held Thursday, Oct. 9, in Canton. The Orioles competed across all divisions—Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Middle School—with several athletes earning top finishes and personal records. On Saturday, Oct. 11 the Lennox High School Oriole volleyball team hosted Class AA Pierre Governors in an afternoon match. Set one started out with Mallorie Bittner getting a kill out of the middle to earn the first point of the game and then the set progressed with back-and-forth scoring. Orioles dominate Madison, winning 44-19

Lennox advances to finals in Dutchmen Field Championship
On Saturday, Oct. 11, the Lennox High School Marching Band competed in the 2025 Dutchmen Field Championship held in Orange City, Iowa. The band delivered an outstanding performance, earning second place in their class and capturing the award for Best Color Guard. Former students meet at Lincoln County Rose Cottage #68 site
Eleven former students of Lincoln County Rose Cottage #68 school met at the building site to memorialize the rural country school. The school was founded in April 28, 1879 and closed in 1969. When Rose Cottage was founded it gained the name because the abundance of Wild Roses growing near by. Donald Poll created a miniature version of the school to help preserve the memories and Merle Nelson got the state of South Dakota to name the new bridge over Saddle Creek “Rose Cottag

Bosma and Slack earn 5th place at State
Bri Slack and Karlie Bosma earned fifth place at State in Flight 2 doubles. Wyatt Holland chips it to the green during State A play at The Bluffs. Lennox Area Ambulance awarded LACF grant
