Worthing kindergarten teacher retires after 33 years with district
Paula Keyman officially retired following this school year after 33 years with the Lennox School District. Keyman spent most of those years at Worthing Elementary. Commissioners review Old Courthouse roof, question Justice Center debt and Veterans Memorial placement
The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday May 12. Commissioners heard agenda items including roof structure updates and clarifications on the consent agenda. The Lennox High School Orioles baseball team split a pair of games last week, cruising to a 14-3 victory over the West Central Trojans on Monday, May 4, before falling to the Dell Rapids Quarriers 4-2 on Thursday, May 7. The Lennox High School track and field teams turned in a strong showing at the Rich Luther Invite on Tuesday, May 5, highlighted by numerous personal best performances and a long list of top-eight finishes across both the boys and girls divisions. Eli Plank earns 100th career victory: LHS tennis team takes on Roosevelt, Brandon Valley, Pierre, Huron
This past week, Eli Plank (pictured at right) reached 100 varsity wins. Eli has been on varsity since seventh grade and has worked his way up the line up each year and this season he surpassed 100 varsity wins in singles and doubles. Commissioners approve AED replacements and Justice Center IT equipment purchases
The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday, May 5 in the Lincoln County Boardroom. Commissioners heard agenda items including AED replacement and IT equipment. School board approves opt-out resolution
After three public meetings about a possible opt-out, the school board passed a resolution approving an opt-out at the May 11 board meeting. In the resolution, “…the above said board is unable to operate under the tax limitation measure currently in statute for the General fund. The Lennox High School Class of 2026 held their Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the High School gymnasium.
