Council approves updated Capital Improvement Plan

History enthusiast and 30 year civil war reenactor, Dave Renli is looking for community support for a Lincoln County Historical Society. LHS girls defeat EPJ, Baltic; fall to Hamlin
The Lennox High School girls’ basketball team enjoyed a busy week of basketball last week, defeating Elk Point Jefferson and Baltic, before falling to Hamlin in a tight match-up against two of the top teams in the State on Saturday, Feb. 7. LHS boys earn trio of wins

Last week, the Lennox High School boys’ basketball team earned a trio of wins, defeating Elk Point Jefferson 74-34 on Feb. 3; Baltic 58-41 on Feb. 5 and Sergeant Bluff-Luton, 75-70 in overtime on Feb. 7 at the Sioux Falls Pentagon. Lennox Speech and Debate has two strong weekends
This past weekend, the Lennox Speech and Debate team competed at Sioux Falls Roosevelt in the Sweetstakes tournament. The team had a strong showing, being the top “A” school at the meet in overall sweepstakes. Leading the team was Zach Boysen with his third place finish in JV Lincoln-Douglas debate. LHS One Act finds success at State
The South Dakota State One Act Festival was held at Brandon Valley Feb. 5–7, and the Lennox High School One Act team capped off a strong season with a successful performance and multiple awards. Lennox qualified for the state competition after capturing first-place honors at the Region 2A Competition at the end of January. Board hears from community on use of district facilities
Members of the community spoke out at the Lennox School Board meeting on Monday, Feb. 9. Retired teacher Joy Lang spoke about her use of the building to offer piano lessons. She has signed an agreement and paid a fee but her teaching was disrupted Jan. 13. Four other community members spoke out in support of Lang. Parent Annie Hoffman asked the board to consider an amendment to the policy. Later in the meeting, the board approved the amended use of district facilities policy.

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday, February 3 in the Lincoln County Boardroom.
