LHS boys dominate with 58-28 win over Pine Ridge
Cole Spieler takes the three. On Friday, Feb. 13 the Lennox High School boys’ basketball team traveled to the University of South Dakota to take on Pine Ridge. Lennox came out strong and never looked back, getting the 58-28 victory. “This was as good of a game as the boys have played defensively all season. Sauers claims State Title at Middle School State Wrestling Meet: Vandehoef earns runner up honors, several others make the podium
Lennox middle school wrestlers traveled to Pierre this past weekend to compete in the Middle School State Wrestling Tournament, with several athletes earning podium finishes against top competition from across South Dakota. Leading the way for Lennox was Khloe Sauers, who captured the 155-pound state championship. Sauers battled through a competitive bracket to secure the top spot on the podium. LHS girls defeat EPJ, Baltic; fall to Hamlin
The Lennox High School girls’ basketball team enjoyed a busy week of basketball last week, defeating Elk Point Jefferson and Baltic, before falling to Hamlin in a tight match-up against two of the top teams in the State on Saturday, Feb. 7. The Lennox High School wrestling teams competed in a busy two-day stretch, hosting a home quad on Friday, Jan. 30, before traveling to Brookings on Saturday, Jan. 31, where the Orioles turned in a standout performance at the Les Tlustos Tournament. Grant Larson captured second place honors at the Dak 12 Conference Tournament held on Saturday. On Tuesday, Jan. 20 the Lennox High School wrestling team hosted Dell Rapids and Dakota Valley. Lennox took on Dakota Valley and lost 53-27 but was victorious over Dell Rapids, wining 48-36. On Saturday, Jan. 24 the Lennox High School boys basketball team traveled to Mitchell to compete in the Hanson Classic, awaiting them was fourth ranked St. Thomas More. Last week the Lennox High School girls’ basketball team took on Dakota Valley on Jan. 20 and West Central on Jan. 22 and grabbed two more victories on the year, defeating the Panthers 50-40 and the Trojans 55-28. LHS girls defeat Western Christian, Vermillion; suffer first loss of season at Hanson Classic
Last week was a busy one for the Lennox High School girls’ basketball team who had a trio of games. On Jan. 13 the Orioles defeated Western Christian, IA by a score of 66-22; on Jan. 15 they defeated Vermillion, 60-24, and on Saturday, Jan. 17 the Orioles went head to head with undefeated Mahpiya Luta at the Hanson Classic.
