Lennox middle school wrestlers traveled to Pierre this past weekend to compete in the Middle School State Wrestling Tournament, with several athletes earning podium finishes against top competition from across South Dakota. Leading the way for Lennox was Khloe Sauers, who captured the 155-pound state championship. Sauers battled through a competitive bracket to secure the top spot on the podium. The Lennox High School girls’ basketball team enjoyed a busy week of basketball last week, defeating Elk Point Jefferson and Baltic, before falling to Hamlin in a tight match-up against two of the top teams in the State on Saturday, Feb. 7. Last week was a busy one for the Lennox High School girls’ basketball team who had a trio of games. On Jan. 13 the Orioles defeated Western Christian, IA by a score of 66-22; on Jan. 15 they defeated Vermillion, 60-24, and on Saturday, Jan. 17 the Orioles went head to head with undefeated Mahpiya Luta at the Hanson Classic.
