Tennis enjoys busy week
On August 21-22 the Lennox High School girls tennis team traveled to Madison for the Madison invite. Due to the nature of the event, no team points were awarded. On Friday everyone played three singles matches and coming away with wins were Brooke Buehner against Huron and Aberdeen Roncalli; Nora Alustiza Roitegui against Spearfish; Karlie Bosma against Huron and Pierre; Maliyah Hofer against Pierre, and Gracie Wood against Vermillion. LHS tennis hosts Yankton, Vermillion and Spearfish
Kenzi Bosma and Peyton Herlyn compete in doubles against Yankton last week at home. The Lennox High School girls tennis team opened their season on Aug. 12 taking on St. Thomas More in Mitchell. The match started with doubles where St. Thomas More took the win at all four flights. Flight three doubles, which consisted of Gracie Wood and Izzy Gerdes, went to a match tiebreak and had their chances, but unfortunately dropped the match in the end. In singles, St. Thomas More too

LHS boys earn sixth at State: Plank finishes third at Flight #1
The Lennox High School boys’ tennis team traveled to Rapid City on May 17th -19th for the Class A State tournament. This was a two-day event where each player competed in their corresponding flight in singles and doubles. Eli Plank earns 100th career victory: LHS tennis team takes on Roosevelt, Brandon Valley, Pierre, Huron
This past week, Eli Plank (pictured at right) reached 100 varsity wins. Eli has been on varsity since seventh grade and has worked his way up the line up each year and this season he surpassed 100 varsity wins in singles and doubles. Plank is the second player in school history to reach this milestone and now has the second most varsity wins in school history behind his brother, Jaxon Plank. Tennis team defeated Vermillion in home dual
The Lennox High School boys’ tennis team hosted Vermillion on Thursday, April 16. The varsity started off with doubles where the team played some smart and consistent points to take the win at all three flights, taking a 3-0 lead into singles. The Orioles kept the momentum going and scored wins from Eli Plank at flight #1, Chase Lundquist at flight #4 and Riley Nelson at flight #6. This gave the team a 6-3 dual win and improved their record to 2-0 on the season. In JV
