Sedrah Visscher, a junior at Lennox High School attended the 46th annual International Leadership Conference in Dallas, TX June 21-24. Over 11,000 students attended the event.
Sedrah, pictured at right (center), was one of ninety-seven HOSA members who competed in an event called Family Medicine Physician. The event involves interviewing two family physicians to gain insight into a career in family medicine as well as “The Why?” to their career. Sedrah finished fifth out of 97 entries.
Sedrah is a member of South Dakota HOSA-Future Health Professionals, a career and technical student organization that aims to nurture and encourage students interested in any health care career.
Lennox has a local chapter that started in 2012-13. Mr. Kruse is the local advisor for the Lennox HOSA chapter.
