Looking for some summer fun for the kids?
Many Lennox athletic camps and events are still open for registration.
Scheduled July 12-13th, the Lennox Scrimmage Football Camp is open for high school football teams where they will received specialized skill instruction from the coaches of their team. The scrimmage camp is a full-padded contact camp and will help your team learn fundamentals, techniques and schemes. The cost is $250 per team.
The goal of the Lennox Scrimmage camp is to help athletes learn their own team’s fundamental concepts in a structured competitive environment. Teams will be given the opportunity to grow and improve in preparation for the upcoming season.
Each day there will be both offensive and defensive techniques taught. Tuesday, July 12, will be for 9th and 10th grade athletes. On Wednesday, July 13 the camp will be for varsity ready athletes. Camp each day will begin at 8:45 a.m. and end around noon. Players are reminded to bring their football equipment.
On July 18-20th, the Lennox Oriole Volleyball camp will be held. While the due date to guarantee a t-shirt for your child has passed, late registrations are still being accepted. The cost to attend is $25 per athlete, $15 for any additional children in the same family.
Athletes entering fifth and sixth grade will hold camp from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. July 18-20th at Lennox High School. Athletes entering second, third, and fourth grade will hold camp from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Lennox Elementary.
On July 21-22nd, Lennox Wrestling Camp will take place. This camp is open for athletes in kindergarten through 12th grade. The cost to attend is $50 and includes a camp t-shirt. Camp Clinicians include South Dakota State University’s Tanner Sloan, Cade DeVos and Tanner Cook.
Kindergarten through fourth grade will meet from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Lennox High School and fifth grade through 12th grade will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. also at the High School. Questions can be directed to lennoxyouthwrestlingclub@gmail.com.
