Lennox 14U Claim VFW State A Championship Title

The Lennox 14U Baseball team are VFW State Champions.


This past weekend, the Lennox 14U team headed to Winner to compete in the 2022 South Dakota VFW Class A State Tournament.


Lennox defeated Madison Maroon on Sunday, July 24 in the Championship game, 5-4, on a sacrifice fly walk off to win the State Title.


Lennox began their State Title run on Friday, July 22 taking on host, Winner. In a hard fought battle, Lennox pulled out the 6-5 win. Talen Eich handled duties on the mound, pitching six innings. He recorded 12 strike-outs in the game. Ramsey Williams had the hot bat For Lennox, hitting a triple in the game and crossing home plate on the effort.


With the win over Winner, the Lennox 14U team advanced to face off against West Central on Saturday, July 23, but came out on top, getting the 2-1 victory.


Once again, Lennox faced off against a strong team. Cole Spieler and Nate Haar both took to the mound for Lennox, with Hard closing out the game pitching out the sixth and seventh innings.


Teegan Musser led the offense for Lennox, recording two big hits. Haar also hit a double in the game.


The win over West Central put Lennox in the Championship game where they defeated Madison Maroon. West Central finished third, Mobridge fourth and Dakota Valley took the consolation championship. Flandreau won the William Radigan Sportsmanship Award.
