On Tuesday, Apr. 9 the Lennox High School girls’ golf team competed at the Bridges in a Quadrangular against Beresford, Dakota Valley, Elk Point Jefferson, and Sioux Falls Christian.
Leading Lennox was Ashlee Sweeter (pictured above) who shot a 45 on the day to finish in the top six. Jazlyn Gayle shot a 58, Katelyn Vargas a 58, Catie Sherard a 72, and Izzy Vargas a 76. Also competing were Peyton Herlyn with a 74, Kasi Gitchel with an 85 and Madelyn Lund with a 72.
On Thursday, Apr. 11 the team was at Spring Creek competing in a dual against Sioux Falls Christian. The golfers also had to battle the wind.
Leading the way for Lennox and taking top honors out of all golfers at the dual was Sweeter who shot a 41 on the day for the top score. Gayle shot a 55, K. Vargas a 57, I. Vargas a 67, Alaina Meyer a 72, Herlyn a 73, Lund a 75, and Gitchel an 80.
Lennox will compete at Central Valley on Thursday, Apr. 25 and will be at the Rocky Run Golf Course on Tuesday, Apr. 30.
