School and Cities to begin circulation of nominating petitions



Lennox School District will hold an election this spring, with three board member terms expiring. Those members include: Yvette Christion, with a one year term, Renae Buehner with a three year term and Alan Rops with a three year term.

Those interested in running for the open school board positions may take out a petition beginning on Jan. 29, 2021.

Petitions may be filed in the office of the business manager located at 305 West 5th Ave in Lennox between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., central daylight savings time not later than the 26th day of February, 2021, at 5:00 p.m., or mailed by registered mail not later than Feb. 26, 2021, at 5:00 p.m.

Circulation of nominating petitions will also begin on January 29 for the City of Lennox and the City of Worthing.

In Lennox, the following offices will become vacant due to the expiration of the present term of office of the elective office. Alderman, Ward I, two-year term; Alderman, Ward II, two-year term; Alderman, Ward III, two-year term

Petitions may be filed in the office of the finance officer located at 107 South Main Street, Lennox, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, Central Standard Time and not later than Feb. 26, 2021 or mailed by registered mail not later than Feb. 26, 2021, at 5 p.m.

In Worthing, the following offices will become vacant due to the expiration of the present term or due to the resignation of office of the elective officer: City Commission, three-year term, Revenue and Finance; and City Commission, three-year term, Public Safety. Petitions may be filed in the office of the finance officer located at 208 S Main Street, Worthing between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., central time not later than the Feb. 26, 2021, or mailed by registered mail not later than Feb. 26, 2021, at 5 p.m.
