POET Bioprocessing – Chancellor awarded $4,000 in grants to two local organizations through POET’s 2023 Community Impact Grant Program.
The Wings of Valor Lodge received $2,000 for their mission of supporting veterans and providing a gathering place to heal in mind, body, and spirit (pictured at right). Supported by an all-volunteer staff, Wings of Valor provides pheasant hunting and other outdoor experiences at no cost to veterans.
The Viborg Community Club received $2,000 to assist in purchasing trash bins to be placed on Viborg’s Main Street.
“Giving back to the communities we call home is central to POET’s culture,” said Tom Pierson, General Manager of POET Bioprocessing – Chancellor. “We are proud to call Chancellor home and to support organizations that are working to make the community a better place.”
Through POET’s Community Impact Grant Program, individuals and organizations were invited to apply for funding for projects aimed at changing their community for the better. For more information, visit poet.com/grants.
