CHANCELLOR, S.D. – POET Bioprocessing – Chancellor awarded $8,000 in grants to three local organizations: Lennox High School Special Education Department, the Chancellor Community Fire Department, and the Lennox Area Ambulance. The funds were donated through POET’s 2025 Community Impact Grant Program, which awards grants to a variety of causes throughout the more than 30 communities in which the company operates.
Lennox High School Special Education Department received $2,000 to help cover the costs of the reusable cups and other necessities in the student-run coffee shop. The shop gives students in special education the opportunity to practice employment and life skills.
The Chancellor Community Fire Department was awarded $3,000 to replace battery packs for SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) units.
The Lennox Area Ambulance received $3,000 to purchase and install a freestanding public AED (Automated External Defibrillator) tower.
“POET is proud to be a part of the Chancellor community, and we’re committed to making it a better place,” said Tom Pierson, General Manager of POET Bioprocessing – Chancellor. “Each of these grants recognizes an organization that shares our mission and goes above and beyond in caring for the future of our community.”
Through POET’s annual Community Impact Grant Program, individuals and organizations are invited to apply for funding for projects aimed at changing their community for the better. The next grant cycle will open in the spring of 2026.
