Park Drive After 5 to be held this Friday

Families are invited to Lennox Park on Friday, July 17, as Park Drive After 5 returns with a special Kids Night packed with activities, entertainment and community fun.

The free community event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m., with something for all ages to enjoy throughout the evening.

One of the featured attractions will be a Touch-a-Truck experience, giving children the opportunity to explore a variety of vehicles and equipment up close.

A dunk tank fundraiser will also be held to benefit the Lennox school lunch program. Community members will have the chance to dunk several local personalities, including Nate Vander Plaats, Chief Will Ericksen and "Big Earl" Rick Leisinger, with additional participants expected to be announced.

Children can also enjoy tractor train rides, while families browse the farmers market, where more than 25 vendors will offer fresh produce, baked goods, handmade items and other local products.

Several food trucks will be on site serving a variety of meal and snack options throughout the evening.

Classic car owners are encouraged to bring their vintage and specialty vehicles for a casual sit-and-shine display, adding another attraction for visitors of all ages.

The evening will conclude with a Movie in the Park, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for a family-friendly movie under the stars.
