Lennox High School Lady O’s volleyball team delivered a commanding performance last Tuesday, Oct. 3, triumphing over Parker in three straight sets, with scores of 25-16, 25-15, and 25-16. The victory was a fitting tribute to the team’s departing seniors, who were celebrated during Senior Night. The team recognized Dani Highum, Carli Kuyper, Ashlee Sweeter, Kate Jackson and Ashely Bondesen for their four years of commitment to volleyball, as well as two managers: Danica Van Ningen and Jazlyn Gayle.
Leading the charge on the court was Highum, who recorded 13 kills. Libby Kranz contributed with five kills of her own, while Ella Gregs played a pivotal role as the orchestrator of the offense, tallying an impressive 17 assists. Ryan Hanssen recorded two critical blocks and Addison Martz contributed seven kills along with two blocks of her own. Jackson also left her mark on the match with five aces, and Andie Peters provided eight digs.
Lennox will travel to Dakota Valley on Tuesday, Oct. 10 and will host the Day XII Conference Tournament this Saturday, Oct. 14. Action is set to begin at 9 a.m.
