Luke Wanous named new administrator at Lennox Good Samaritan Society

The Good Samaritan Society in Lennox has a new administrator at the helm.

Luke Wanous accepted the position after most recently serving as the administrator of the Good Samaritan Society in Clear Lake, SD. Wanous graduated from Augustana University with a double major in business administration and communications while also receiving an emphasis in management. He also pursued an MBA in healthcare management from the University of Sioux Falls.

“I did my administrator in training program through the Good Samaritan Society in Waukon, Iowa before working as interim administrator at the Good Samaritan Society – Valentine, NE,” Wanous said.

His education and experience have provided a foundation for success, but what started Wanous down the path of the long-term care industry was wanting to help people.

“I have always enjoyed helping people and I wanted to be a leader in whatever industry that I was blessed to join,” Wanous said, “Both of my grandmas, who have been very important pillars in my life, are currently in long-term care facilities, so I decided that serving residents in need of long-term care assistance is what I am called to do.”

COVID has presented many challenges and continues to be a concern for everyone, but Wanous is confident the local long-term care facility will come out on the other side.
