Lincoln County 4-H Achievement Days set for July 26-30

Preparations are underway for the 2026 Lincoln County 4-H Achievement Days, which will be held July 26-30 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, 27711 Highway 17, Lennox.
4-H members will bring their static exhibits to the 4-H Building for judging on July 26 and 27. Judging will take place July 27, and these events are closed to the public.
The public is invited to attend the remaining events throughout the week.
“We invite the public to come see what our 4-H’ers have been working on all year. We want our communities to come together to enjoy some family time,” said Lincoln County 4-H Program Adviser Wendy Sweeter. “See you at Achievement Days.”
Events on Tuesday, July 28, begin with the poultry showmanship competition at 9 a.m. The livestock judging contest starts at noon, followed by Ag Olympics at 3 p.m. The meat goat show begins at 5 p.m. and will be followed by the sheep show. Carnival Night will be held from 5-8 p.m., with the rocket launch scheduled for 6 p.m. The day concludes with the pie judging contest and social at 8 p.m.
On Wednesday, July 29, the beef show begins at 9 a.m., followed by the robotics showcase at 10 a.m. Rabbit showmanship and the rabbit show begin at noon. The Corn on the Cob Eating Contest starts at 3 p.m., followed by the companion animal show at 4 p.m. The Puzzles, Pizza & Pop Contest begins at 5 p.m., with the Kids Pedal Pull at 6 p.m., Cloverbud Show & Tell at 7 p.m., and Teen Night at 8 p.m.
Thursday’s events begin with the swine show at 8 a.m., followed by the dairy show at 11 a.m. Round Robin begins at noon, with the Adult Round Robin at 1:30 p.m. The Fashion Revue, awards presentation and talent show begin at 5 p.m.
The annual 4-H barbecue will be held from 5-7 p.m. July 30. The Premium Sale begins at 6:30 p.m., and static exhibits will be released at 8 p.m.
Concessions will be available each day of Achievement Days. A complete schedule of events can be found on page 10 of this week’s newspaper.
