On Thursday, Dec. 14 the Lennox High School girls’ basketball team dominated Madison at home with a 60-15 victory.
“Overall, we played really well. I was pleased with how we limited turnovers and won the rebounding battle,” said LHS head coach Adam Quail. “Ashlee Sweeter really brought the energy defensively early which helped set the tone for the rest of the game.”
The Orioles scored 31 points off of turnovers and out rebounded Madison 32-18.
Leading the Orioles in scoring was Andie Peters who finished with 14 points. She also grabbed two rebounds, had one assist and two steals.
Carli Kuyper had 11 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal. Dani Highum finished with seven points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Ryan Hanssen contributed eight points, had four rebounds, one assist and one steal. Sweeter had three points, two rebounds and Teagen Sturm, Libby Kranz, and Gavyn Herlyn each had two points in the win.
Lennox took on Canton on Monday, Dec. 18 and won 68-46. They will be in action again on Jan. 2 when they host Mount Vernon/Plankinton.
