Lennox High School celebrates Class of 2026

The Lennox High School Class of 2026 held their Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the High School gymnasium. 

The ceremony began with the graduates walking in to the processional performed by the Lennox High School Band under the direction of Mr. Youngquist. 

Macy Wallenstein, student council president, welcomed those in attendance. Superintendent Adam Shaw then introduced the student speakers who delivered the commencement address.

The commencement addresses were provided by co-Valedictorians, Eli Highum, son of Bret and Allison Highum, and Josephine Plucker, daughter of Michael and Kari Plucker, along with Salutatorian Alia Temme, daughter of Jesse and Angela Temme. 

Special music was provided by members of the Lennox High School Choir under the direction of Mr. Covey. 

One of the ceremony’s longstanding traditions, the Presentation of the Rose, was carried out by members of the Class of 2026. During this portion of the program, graduates presented roses to family members and others who had provided encouragement and support throughout their educational journey.

Assistant High School Principal Becky Kuyper formally presented the senior class, and Scott Sandal, president of the Lennox Board of Education, awarded diplomas to the graduates.

Kuyper also recognized students entering military service as well as the school’s foreign exchange students.

Following the presentation of diplomas, Senior Class President Alia Temme offered comments of appreciation.
