Lennox girls soccer compete in first game ever

History was made Friday, Aug. 14 as the Lennox High School girls soccer team took the field for the first time in school history.

The Orioles opened their inaugural season against the West Central Trojans, marking the beginning of a new athletic program at Lennox High School.

Lennox came up on the short end of the scoreboard, falling 4-0, with the Trojans scoring one goal in the first half and three more in the second half.

The LHS girls hosted Groton Area in their first game at home on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Watch next week’s paper for photos from the event. The team will travel to Garretson on Thursday, Aug. 20 and will host Vermillion on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the Sinning Sports Complex.
