LADC renews Home Improvement Incentive program for 2024Online application now open

Lennox, SD – The Lennox Area Development Corporation (LADC) has renewed its Home Improvement Incentive program for 2024.

The program helps residents upgrade their properties by reimbursing up to 25% of total project costs—capped at $10,000—for exterior improvements like new siding, windows, and doorways. First started in 2022, the Home Improvement Incentive has already made a big impact on the Lennox community.

“Since the program started, LADC has helped around twenty residents invest over $300,000 in their homes,” said Ryan Solberg, the organization’s Economic Development Manager. “Some of these homes look almost brand new, and I think they help make their neighborhoods more attractive and encourage others to invest in their own properties and the greater community.”

Existing program funds were given a boost by a contribution from the City of Lennox, making a total of $76,968.28 available for projects in 2024. Owners of properties identified as being dilapidated or out of code will have priority for funds.

“If you’re thinking of doing any exterior home improvements, large or small, we encourage you to apply,” said Solberg. “Even if it’s something small like putting in more energy efficient windows or a fresh coat of paint, there’s plenty of funding available and the LADC wants to help.”

Lennox residents looking for more information or to apply can find the application and the program’s rules and regulations online at https://forms.office.com/r/NPLWQZDm9R. If you have any questions, you can reach out Ryan Solberg via email at ryans@siouxmetro.com or by calling 605-630-2050.
