Every donation is helpful for the Lennox Area Community Fund (LACF).
The LACF is a charitable endowment that awards grants annually to organizations in Lennox, Chancellor and Worthing. Since its inception in 2004, over $97,700 has been awarded in grants to organizations in these communities. This year alone, the LACF was able to award $12,300 to area organizations to help fund 12 different projects.
Now LACF committee members are inviting individuals and businesses in the Lennox, Chancellor and Worthing communities to consider a donation to the community fund during the month of November.
This fundraising drive will culminate on December 1 with South Dakota’s second annual state-wide GivingTuesday. A similar campaign last year was successful for the LACF, with $16,224.15 raised, including a $5,000 matching contribution from the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation. The committee has set a goal of $15,000 for this year’s campaign.
All donations, large and small, increase the impact of the Lennox Area Community Fund by increasing the interest available for grant distribution.
