The Lennox Junior High powerlifters will be having their final meet of the season this Saturday, Feb. 28 at Lennox.  The meet will be held in the main gym with doors opening at 7:30 a.m. and lifting beginning at 9 a.m.

The meet will showcase the Lennox Junior High lifters as well as lifters from Baltic and Centerville.

“This will be a great opportunity for our athletes to display their hard work this winter as they look to break numerous school and personal records,” said coach Scott Meyer.

Admission will be a free will offering and the public is encouraged to attend.  The proceeds will be used to help buy necessary equipment so they can continue to host more meets in the future.

The Lennox High School powerlifting team will conclude their season on Saturday, March 7 at the State A Powerlifting Meet in Baltic.

“The atmosphere will be electric, as approximately 55 Lennox lifters will compete for state team and individual titles against some of the strongest athletes in the state,” added Meyer.

Lifting will begin in the Baltic gym at 9:00 a.m.
