Junior High Powerlifters host Oriole Open: LHS Powerlifters to compete at State this Saturday

On Saturday, Feb. 28 Lennox hosted the Second Annual Oriole Open Junior High Powerlifting meet. Fifty-eight lifters from Lennox, Baltic, and Centerville competed with first, second, and third place finishers recognized in their respective weight classes.
First places finishers from Lennox included Brynlee Green, Cooper Luvaas, Sophia Haar, Maxon Flannagan, Madelyn Klenner, Alex Schilling, Greyson Seeman, and Olivia Wallenstein.
Finishing second place were Keegan Powell, Noah Savage, Kolten Thoreson, Jack Luvaas, Adaleigh Wesselink, Cayden Hall, Brayden Hofer, Kenna Kitrell, and Grace Alward.
Third place winners were Liberty Leo, Trevin Mullins, Violet Duchene, Jason Crumb, Ben Haar, Lincoln Allie, and Evan Crichton.
“The Lennox coaches would like to congratulate all the athletes that competed on Saturday. There were so many school and personal records set on Saturday. We are so proud of your hard work and progress. We would also like to send out a huge thank you to all of the volunteer helpers who made the meet possible,” said Scott Meyer.
Lennox Powerlifting will finish their season on Saturday, Mar. 7 in Baltic for the Class A High School State Meet.
Doors will open at 8 a.m. with lifting starting at 9 a.m. Numerous Lennox lifters look to place high as well as be in contention for both the boys and girls team titles.
Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students.
