Highum and Hall to reign over Homecoming week festivities



On Monday night, Lennox High School held their 2023 Homecoming Coronation. Following a performance by the LHS cheerleaders, the LHS band, and hearing from coaches and players of all the fall sports, the time finally came to crown the 2023 Marshal and Queen.

Last year’s Marshal, Braeden Wulf, held the crown over the Marshal candidates before placing it on Michael Hall’s head.

Following the Marshal’s crowning, last year’s Queen, Kyah Jackson, placed the crown over Dani Highum’s head.

Hall and Highum will reign over this week’s Homecoming festivities.

Other Queen candidates included Sawyer Hansen, Kaylee Hofer, Kate Jackson, Clara Stucky, and Ashlee Sweeter. Other Marshal candidates included Carter Benning, Lucas Bontje, Triston Butler, Trey Gerdes, and Porter Ihnen.

Emcees for the night were Noah Sayler and Emma ‘Alek’ Kilene.

The Homecoming Parade will be held Friday, September 15, starting at 1:30 p.m., and the Varsity Football game against Custer at home will start at 6:00 p.m. A tailgate meal will be served beginning at 4:30 p.m. This is a fundraiser for the LHS band. The LHS Marching Band will also perform their field show at halftime. There will be a 5th Quarter for students after the game.

Parade entries can line up on Park Drive beginning at 12:30 p.m. The Homecoming Parade will begin Friday, Sept. 15 at 1:30 p.m. The route will head North on Main to 1st Ave. East on 1st Ave. to Cherry. South on Cherry to 6th Ave. East on 6th Ave. to exit. Elementary students will go West on 6th Ave. to return to school for parent pick-up.
