Gracefully Dipped brings sweet treats and creativity to Lennox

For Lennox resident Julia Larson, what started as a hobby making treats for her daughter’s birthday parties has grown into a small business bringing cake pops and other sweet treats to the community.
Larson, the owner of Gracefully Dipped LLC, officially launched the business in June 2026. The self-serve cake pop cart is located at 121 E. 5th Ave. in Lennox and gives customers an easy way to pick up freshly made treats when the cart is open.
Larson said her love of party planning played a big role in the creation of Gracefully Dipped.
“I have always been obsessed with party planning, which meant lots of decorating and baking for my daughters’ birthday parties,” Larson said. “Over the years, I began making different types of cake pops and custom treats for her parties and they continued to improve with time and practice.”
Earlier this year, Larson realized how much she enjoyed making the treats and decided it was time to share her creations with others.
“After a lot of encouragement (and a gentle push) from my husband, I decided to take the leap and create Gracefully Dipped,” she said.
The business offers a variety of dipped treats, including cake pops, dipped Rice Krispies, dipped Oreos, dipped pretzels and cookies. Larson typically bakes weekly and puts the cart out on weekends when her family is home.
Because there is not a set schedule for when the cart is available, customers are encouraged to follow Gracefully Dipped on Facebook for announcements about when the cart is stocked and available. Customers can purchase treats using Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or cash.
Cake pops are the most popular item, with Cosmic Brownie, Cookies ’n Creme and Funfetti among the favorite flavors.
Larson’s personal favorites are Strawberry Crunch and Reese’s Pieces.
The name Gracefully Dipped has a personal connection for Larson.
“I chose the name Gracefully Dipped as a play off of my middle name, Grace,” she said. “I also wanted it to identify that we can make multiple dipped treats, including cake pops.”
In addition to the self-serve cart, Gracefully Dipped offers custom orders for birthdays, weddings, graduations and other special events. Customers can choose from three different-sized party packages, or order cake pops or cakesicles by the dozen.
Larson said she particularly enjoys working with customers to create treats that fit the theme or vision for their event.
“I absolutely love working alongside my customers for their special events to make their vision come to life,” she said.
Customers interested in custom orders can contact Larson at Hello@GracefullyDipped.com or through the contact form at GracefullyDipped.com.
For Larson, Gracefully Dipped is one of several things keeping her busy. She works full-time as a mental health therapist through her private practice, Graceful Counseling. Outside of work and her business, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and two dogs, visiting family in Minnesota, reading and crafting.
Her three children are in 12th, 10th and second grades in the Lennox School District.
Larson grew up in Minnesota before moving to South Dakota in 2018. She and her family purchased their home and became members of the Lennox community in 2020.
Family remains a major part of Larson’s life, and she said simply spending time together is something they greatly enjoy.
While balancing a full-time career, family and a new business has been an adjustment, Larson said she has been especially surprised by the amount of time that goes into creating the treats — and by the response from the Lennox community.
“I have been most surprised by the time commitment that these treats truly take, as well as the support from the community,” she said. “When I initially started, I wasn’t sure what to expect or if the time commitment would feel worth it, but the community has really shown up and made this such a fun experience and adventure for me.”
The community response has been particularly meaningful to Larson.
“I have been blown away by the support from our community since opening,” she said. “Not only have I received positive feedback, comments and reviews from customers, but they continue to show up and support my small business every time the cart is open.”
With Gracefully Dipped’s first holiday season approaching, Larson is looking forward to introducing seasonal flavors and designs.
Larson said she is excited to continue creating custom orders as well, noting that each project provides an opportunity to try something new.
For those who visit the self-serve cart, Larson encourages customers to try different flavors — but also to let her know which ones they would like to see again.
“The cake pop cart being self-serve makes it easy to try new flavors each time it is out, but customers are encouraged to reach out to request their personal favorites return as well,” she said.
