The Lennox High School girls’ golf team competed at Central Valley on Monday, May 8 competing in the West Central Invite.
Leading the Orioles was Ashley Sweeter who finished with an 85 on the day to tie for sixth place. Sweeter shot a 41 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine.
Jazlyn Gayle finished with a 91 taking 25th place. Katelyn Vargas shot a 111 at the Invite and Izzy Vargas shot a 141.
Winning the Invite was Tori Peterson of Sioux Falls Christian. She shot a 75 on the day.
Prior to the West Central Invite, the Orioles competed at Rocky Run in the Dell Rapids Invite on Tuesday, May 2.
Courtney Sandal led Lennox with a score of 102, taking 30th. Sweeter finished with a 108, Gayle a 121, K. Vargas a 126 and I. Vargas a 128.
On Monday, May 1 the Lennox Junior Varsity golfers competed in the Alcester Invite. Catie Sherard led the Lennox JV team with a 61, taking second place. Addy Stucky shot a 62 to capture third and Olivia Homan a 65 to take sixth. Kaydence Gerry also competed, shooting an 80 on the day.
The LHS golfers were scheduled to compete in Canton on Tuesday, May 9 and will be in Lennox on Thursday, May 11.
