Five titles, dozens of records for Lennox Powerlifting at Bulldog Open

Lennox High School powerlifters turned in a strong showing at the 3rd Annual Bulldog Open, held at Baltic High School, with a large number of athletes finding success across multiple weight divisions.

A total of 34 Lennox athletes competed at the meet, with five Orioles earning first-place finishes in their respective weight classes. Those champions included Abbie Wilderboer, Maggie Jacobson, Jayden Hopf, Tim Schuttlofel, and Gavin Horner.

Another five Lennox lifters placed second, including Hailey Forest, Reba Schroeder, Kenna Schilling, Kodi Scott, and Kameron Karlson, while four Orioles claimed third-place finishes. Finishing third were Maddyn Hossle, Sydney Johnson, Gabe Veurink, and Jacob Capon.

In addition to the podium finishes, the meet was a record-breaking day for Lennox, as more than two dozen school records were set during competition.

Lennox will look to carry that momentum into the State A Powerlifting Meet, scheduled for March 7 at Baltic High School.
