On Monday, Feb. 12 during the double header basketball games against Vermillion, community members held a fundraiser for Lance Spieler, a 2023 graduate of LHS who was severely injured in a car accident on Jan. 23. Spieler is currently in Nebraska recovering from his injuries.
A walking taco meal was served along with a 50/50 raffle and raffle baskets. “Love for Lance” t-shirts were also purchased with the proceeds going to the Spieler family. Community members and students in the shirts are pictured above.
On Saturday, Apr. 20 another benefit for Lance will be held at the Irene Community Building. The event will begin at 3 p.m.
