City, regional leaders tour Lewis & Clark Water Treatment Plant

Lennox City Administrator and Lewis & Clark Regional Water System Director Nate Vander Plaats and Councilwoman Lauren Van Driel joined officials from Tea, Sheldon, Luverne, and Madison on a tour of L&C’s water treatment plant near Vermillion last week. 

The group had the opportunity to see firsthand the construction progress on the third and final phase of the water treatment plant, as well as tour the wellfield that supplies the system.

According to L&C officials, the visit served as a chance to provide new council members and staff from the five member communities with a clearer understanding of how the system operates and the vital role it plays in ensuring reliable water service across the region.
