32 Below to headline street dance as Lennox celebrates America’s 250th Birthday: Old Fashioned Fourth Parade set for Saturday

The countdown is on for Lennox’s 43rd Annual Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration, which returns July 3-5 with three days of family fun, patriotic festivities, live music and community traditions.

This year’s celebration carries added significance as communities across the nation commemorate America’s 250th birthday. Lennox will join in the historic milestone with a weekend full of events honoring Independence Day.

One of the highlights of the celebration will be the annual Street Dance on Friday, July 3, on North Main Street. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., with food trucks available throughout the evening.

Taking center stage at 9 p.m. will be Midwest country-rock favorite 32 Below, a regional powerhouse that has entertained audiences for more than 20 years. Known for its high-energy performances, the band blends country and rock influences while performing a mix of original music and crowd-favorite covers.

Throughout its career, 32 Below has released six albums and shared the stage with nationally known artists including Keith Urban, Justin Moore, Little Big Town and Old Dominion. The band is scheduled to perform until the conclusion of the dance.

Festivities continue Saturday, July 4, beginning with the Firecracker Fun Run at 8 a.m. The annual Fourth of July Parade steps off at 10:30 a.m., followed by a full day of activities at Westerman Park including vendors, live music, the Kid Pedal Pull, car show and more. The celebration will conclude Saturday evening with the Lennox Municipal Band concert at 8 p.m. and a fireworks display at dusk.

Events wrap up Sunday, July 5, with a Community Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. in Westerman Park.

The City of Lennox reminds residents that the discharge of fireworks IS permitted within City limits under an ordinance approved by the City Council in 2024. Fireworks may be discharged from 12:00 p.m.  to 12:00 a.m. on July 3 – July 5.  Please take care to discharge fireworks safely and responsibly, and dispose of any fireworks in a responsible manner.
