Lennox Area Ambulance to hold fundraiser

The Lennox Area Ambulance will be holding a fundraising event on July 23 at Westerman Park. Pork loin sandwiches and root beer floats will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. with a free will donation being accepted. 

Each year the Lennox Area Ambulance identifies training and equipment needs that would help further enhance the quality of care they deliver. This year they are hoping to replace one of the LUCAS CPR Devices and purchase nitrous oxide systems for pain management.

The LUCAS CPR Device is a critical piece of life-saving equipment that provides consistent, high-quality chest compressions during cardiac arrest emergencies. Replacing the current unit will ensure that the Lennox Area Ambulance can continue delivering the highest standard of care during some of the most critical moments. The current units are no longer repairable. 

The addition of the nitrous oxide systems will provide a safe and effective option for pain management in the prehospital setting. This equipment will allow ambulance members to offer rapid pain relief to patients experiencing injuries and other painful medical conditions while being transported for further care.
