Benefit to be held for Travis Albers

In the middle of October Travis Albers, owner and operator of Alber’s Painting, had a terrible fall off of a ladder while at work. Travis’ leg was so severely injured that during the first surgery the doctors discovered he had developed Compartment Syndrome. In order to relieve swelling and pressure a fasciotomy had to be performed.

Within the first week there was a possibility Travis could lose his leg. He had to go through therapy to learn how to function without putting any weight on his leg.

A full recovery is expected but there will be many months of healing and follow up visits. So far Travis has had one ambulance ride, five surgeries and has spent almost three weeks in the hospital.

Travis has always tried to give back to the community so his friends, Tim Buskohl and Nikki Rinehart, decided to put together a Pool Tournament/Silent Auction and Live Auction benefit for him.

The benefit will be held Feb. 11 at the Lennox Legion. The pool tournament will begin at 9 a.m. with a $30 buy-in, $10 of that will go directly to Travis. The Tournament will be a double elimination tournament. The silent auction of the benefit will begin at 9 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. You do not have to be present to win. A live auction will begin at 5 p.m. A meal will also be served at noon with a free will donation being accepted.
