Retiring from law enforcement this year is well-known Lincoln County Sheriff Dennis Johnson.
Johnson walked out of the Lincoln County Court House last week and was saluted by fellow members of law enforcement, pictured at right.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office released a statement that read, “We would like to recognize and thank Sheriff Dennis Johnson for all he has done over the last 41 years in law enforcement, especially the last 20 years as Lincoln County Sheriff. Sheriff Johnson has served the citizens of Lincoln County with honor and distinction and will be greatly missed. We wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement. We have the watch from here.”
Sheriff Johnson is retiring after 20 years of service with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office and 41 years in law enforcement.
The public is invited to attend a retirement celebration for former Lincoln County Sheriff Dennis Johnson on Friday, January 11th at the Gate City Event Center, 47947 W 5th St., Canton. The event will take place from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. that day.
