The Lennox Area Community Fund held a fundraising drive for the month of November. It was announced that the #GivingTuesday promotion brought in a total of $10,949.15. The Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation provided matching funds up to $5000, raising the total to $15,949.15.
LACF Treasurer Brian Zirpel said, “Congratulations to all those who pitched in to make this a successful event!”
The LACF is planning to publish a list of donors at a later date as a way to publicly thank the supporters of the fund.
Also, in an effort to raise awareness about the organization, the LACF sponsored a coloring contest, handing out coloring pages at the Lennox Trunk or Treat event held on Halloween. During the Nov. 27th LACF Board meeting, winners were chosen.
With three age categories the award winners were as follows: (Category 1) 1st place to Marek Wulf, age 5 of Lennox; 2nd place Ryker Dose, age 5 of Tea; 3rd place Briggs Carlson, age 4 of Tea; (Category 2) 1st place to Levi Kingsbury, age 7 of Lennox; 2nd place Dylan Gulbranson, age 6 of Lennox; 3rd place Ella Oltmanns, age 6 of Lennox; (Category 3) 1st place Alicen Otlmanns, age 14 of Lennox; 2nd place Hadley Johnson, age 10 of Lennox; and 3rd place Jeremiah Munce, age 11 of Lennox.
