The 2018 boys State A Golf Championship was held Monday, Oct. 1 and Tuesday, Oct. 2 at the Rocky Run Golf Course in Dell Rapids.
Eli Cinco led the way for the Lennox High School Orioles, tying for 20th place. On day one, Cinco shot a 38 on the front nine and a 47 on the back to finish the day with an 85. On the front nine, Cinco birdied on hole 7. On day two, Cinco shot a 40 on the front nine and a 51 on the back nine to finish with a 91 on the day. Cinco shot par on 13 holes during the State Tournament.
Lennox’s Jayden Gayle shot a two day total of 187 to finish in 50th place at State. On the opening day, Gayle shot a 46 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine to finish with a day one total of 91. On the second day, Gayle shot a 42 on the front nine and a 54 on the back nine to finish with a 96. On the second day, Gayle shot a birdie on hole 6, on the front nine. He shot par on nine holes at State.
