Last weekend volunteers with the Worthing parent group (Worthing PTT) showed up at the elementary school to help finish the work on the new playground equipment.
Worthing PTT has been fundraising for the last few years for this playground equipment. Earlier this year, in May, they partnered with the Worthing Fire Department and the Worthing Masonic Lodge to provide a Soup and Pie supper for the community and a carnival for the kids. It was a great success. In addition, a donation was given to the Worthing PTT by Scott and Laurie Karlson in honor of Bradley Karlson.
The Worthing PTT also offered their thanks to Action Electric for the use of their equipment while installing the playground.
Worthing Elementary Principal Kym Johnston said, “The staff at the Worthing Elementary sincerely appreciate all of the hard work and dedication that the Worthing PTT provides every year. The students are going to love this new playground equipment. It will be enjoyed by the entire community!”
