Main Street building remodel: Moose Brothers Construction relocates to Lennox

One Main Street building is quietly undergoing changes, as Bret Wynja and Arid Boschee transform the inside of the former Lewis Drug Store located at 216 South Main Street for their business Moose Bros. Construction. The two have been in business for about five years.

Wynja said, “Right now we are mainly using the building as our shop and office. We plan on finishing off the front portion of the building to make it presentable from Main Street.”

He added that they have no concrete long term plans, but are kicking around ideas. Moose Brothers Construction specializes in basement finishes, remodels, decks, garages, roofing, siding, and just about any other construction need someone might have.

Wynja said, “We both grew up in smaller communities and my family had been looking to get out of Sioux Falls. We had been looking for about a year and felt drawn to Lennox. The community is very self sufficient and you can almost find anything you should need in town. I/we have really enjoyed meeting people in town and look forward to becoming more active in the community.”

In the short term the partners plan to keep doing what they’ve been doing.

Although Wynja added, “We are possibly looking into purchasing a few rentals to clean up and rent out. I personally have a heart for all the older homes in town and would like to be able to fix up/save as many of them as I can.”

Wynja is married to wife Cambria and they have a daughter Emily (10) and a son Connor (1). He said he enjoys being involved in his church and watching Iowa Hawkeye football.

Boschee is also married with two children. He said he enjoys time with his wife Paula and sons Landon (15) and Drake (5) and being active.

Wynja said, “Together we enjoy ice fishing, but don’t get on the ice as much as we would like!”
