The Lennox Commercial Club is once again sponsoring a Thanksgiving turkey give-away. On page 10 of this week’s Lennox Independent you will find entry forms; fill them out and take them to the place of business listed on the coupon and you could win your holiday turkey. Each business will give away a least one free turkey, actually a $15 gift card to Sunshine Foods in Lennox. Be sure to register at each business to increase your chances of winning.
Winning entries will be drawn next Thursday afternoon, November 16th. Winners will be notified by phone, a complete list of winners will appear in the Nov. 23 issue of the newspaper.
Following Thanksgiving the next promotion for the local business group will be Santa Day. The Lennox Commercial Club’s Santa Day is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 5th from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the LWC Intermediate School. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to enjoy a community meal, a Christmas tree walk, visiting with Santa and have a chance to shop at the booths from area crafters and vendors that will be set up during the holiday event.

The Lennox Commercial Club encourages everyone to consider shopping local this holiday season. The benefits of shopping and buying local are numerous and extend not only to the small business owners but also to the community.
One way the organization does this is through the sales of Lennox Bucks. Lennox Bucks are dollars, available in denominations of $10 and $5, that can be used at any of the participating Lennox Commercial Club businesses. Lennox Bucks are a great idea for gift giving and are available for purchase at Lewis Family Drug in Lennox.
