Making a difference locally is what the Lennox Area Community Fund is all about. It’s this time of year, June 1 through August 1, that the LACF accepts grant applications from local organizations. Last year a total of $8,407 was awarded to local groups. Grants are awarded annually based on applications submitted by the August 1st deadline. The dollar amount available is determined by the earnings received by the fund
The funds are professionally managed by the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation. Each year the LACF asks for grant applications from the various organizations that need financial help so they can more easily provide assistance.
Some of these organizations include volunteer fire and ambulance groups, Boy and Girl Scout groups, senior centers, garden clubs, etc.
Consider the possibilities and pick up an application today. Grant applications are available at Valley Exchange Bank in Lennox, Great Western Bank in Lennox, Security State Bank in Chancellor, The Lennox Independent office, Worthing City Hall, Lennox City Hall; and online at lennoxareacommunityfund.org. Applications are due by August 1, 2017. Whether you are looking to donate, to apply for a grant, or are just curious about the LACF please visit them online or contact a board member today.
