On Monday, Sept. 28 the Lennox High School boys’ golf team competed in the Region 2A Golf Meet held at Bakker Crossing Golf Course—at stake a trip to the State A Golf Tournament.
The top 27 golfers qualified for State, among them was LHS junior Devon Jongeling who shot an 87 on the day. Jongeling shot a 43 on the front nine and a 44 on the back.
Missing the qualifying mark by just two strokes was Senior Brady Krump. Krump shot an 89 on the day, shooting a 44 on the front and a 45 on the back.
Also competing for Lennox was Senior Preston Lauters who finished the day with a 93, shooting a 46 on the front nine and a 47 on the back. Juniors Marshal McLaren and Cole Feterl also competed. Feterl finished with a 98 (50, 48) and McLaren a 104 (51, 53).
The 2015 Boys’ State A Golf Tournament will be held at Pine Hills Country Club in Milbank, Oct. 5-6.
