Lennox firemen responded to assist the Chancellor Fire Dept. during a fire at the ethanol plant near Chancellor on Sept. 15. POET representative Matt Merritt said that the fire was in the smoke stack, sparked by some welding. He added that the fire departments came out and got the fire quickly under control.
“There were no injuries and no damage to the plant,” said Merritt.
