There’s no better way to start the holiday season than with good music, good food and good friends. You can enjoy all three this weekend at the Annual Festival of Tables, hosted by the Lennox Band Boosters. Doors will open for the event at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lennox Middle School Cafetorium. Brunch will be served at 10:30 a.m. and you will be seated at a specially decorated table.
“People go all-out decorating the tables,” said Paula Abbas, one of the organizers. “We have some really cool tables.” For some of her relatives, it’s their favorite part of the season.
There will be Christmas music and music from the LHS Jazz Band and other groups.
The Festival of Tables is a major fund-raiser for the Lennox school bands. To help in this effort, the band boosters will be selling raffle tickets for some great prizes including: a 40-inch TV, Keurig coffee maker, Kitchen Aid stand mixer, Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, Washington Pavilion and Butterfly House passes, an acoustic guitar, FitBits, an iPad mini, Timeless Fitness memberships, a Lennox student golf membership, Wild Water West passes, oil changes, auto kits, car washes, spa and hair baskets/certificates, baskets of goodies, gourmet food, books; subscriptions to the newspaper, infrared sauna sessions, Carnaval Brazilian Grill certificate and much more. Even if you can’t make it to the Festival of Tables, you are encouraged to buy raffle tickets for a chance at these great prizes. You do not have to be present to win.
