Lennox Legion Baseball to host Chill Cookoff, Wild Game Feed

Get ready for some fun next Saturday night at the Lennox Legion Hall as the Lennox Legion Post 174 Baseball team gears up for their second annual Chili Cookoff and Wild Game Feed on March 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The idea of Wild Game Feed was brought up to Legion coach, Curt Lottman by Johnny Kirchner as a way to fundraiser for the Legion baseball team.

“I started researching and began to set it up. It was tough to get enough wild game so I switched it to a Chili cookoff and Wild game feed, highlighted with Rocky Mountain Oysters as the Cherry on top,” said Lottman.

For just $5 a bowl, attendees can feast on a variety of mouthwatering chilli recipes, each vying for the coveted title of best chilli in town. That $5 will allow you to try as many kinds of chili as you like, so you can make sure to choose your favorite.

“Cheryl Williams won the chili portion last year but can not defend her title so it sounds like Ramsey with be taking the bull by the horns to attempt the family repeat,” said Lottman.

As appetizers, guests will be treated to a wild game feast, showcasing the rich flavors of the great outdoors, including the Rocky Mountain Oysters, while supplies last.

Lottman has been very grateful for the community businesses that have been very good at supporting the event. For those feeling lucky, prize tickets will be available for purchase at $1 each, offering a chance to win exciting prizes ranging from firearms to fishing equipment packages and much more. Place your tickets for whatever prize you hope to win.

Baseball season is just around the corner, and what better way to kick it off than with a Chili Cookoff.
