City of Lennox to sponsor summer fun activities beginning June 6

The City of Lennox will be offering several different days of activities during the summer. These events will take place at Westerman Park. All activities are free of charge and open to the public. It can get hot out there, so people are encouraged to bring drinks to stay hydrated and sunscreen lotion to avoid any burns.

This is a great opportunity for kids and adults to come out and enjoy the park. People can participate in the different activities and continue their fun playing at the park. Most of the activities are designed for ages 4 on up. Supervision of the children during the activities is required. All events will take place in the park unless otherwise indicated.

This year, we are having some guest speakers come down and lead activities. On June 6, Civil Air Patrol is coming down to launch the summer activities. On June 13, you can explore and grow with Groundworks & SD Agriculture in the Classroom. On July 9, the Zoomobile will be down. July 23, the Outdoor campus will be here to talk about archery. The summer activities will conclude with the popular water inflatables at the old football field.
