Boys improve to 3-1 with win over Canton

On Monday night, Dec. 17 the Lennox High School boys’ basketball hosted Canton in double header action with the LHS girls. After the girls’ win, the LHS boys followed suit, defeating Canton 59-38.

“We had a very solid defensive effort against Canton. They have one of the best guards in the state and our players really did a nice job of contesting his shots, keeping him out of the paint, and not letting him get in a rhythm,” said Oriole head coach Paul McVey.

“Defense is a total team effort from the guy guarding the ball, to the four guys in helping, to the guys on the bench staying alert and communicating. Our team is making strides defensively and on the glass, which bodes well for the tough games we have after the break against Rock Valley and St. Paul Central (MN).”
