This summer Lennox voters did not support the funding option for a new swimming pool in a special election held August 22, 2017. With a 33% voter turnout, the bond failed — 140 votes in favor to 338 opposed.
Last month, the City of Lennox conducted a survey to gauge support of a swimming pool. The survey was published in The Lennox Independent, online and sent to residents with their water bills.
The council hopes to use the results to determine how best to move forward. A special meeting will be scheduled for the issue at a later date.
The survey results complied by City Administrator Amanda Anglin can be found as presented to the council in their entirety at www.lennoxnews.com. A portion of the results are pictured at right.
