Lennox City Council meet on Monday, January 25 at 6 p.m. Members in attendance were Orville Wiebers, Jerry Jones, Tracy West, Greg Poppenga, Philip Fett, Mike Greg, Alan Ratliff, and Marlyn Jacobson.
A representative from USA Aquatics shared information about sustainable aquatic design. If selected, this company would design the aquatic area based on community wants, needs, and uses. They would manage bids and coordinate the project for a fee based on a percentage of the project total. USA Aquatics designed the aquatic facilities in Chamberlin, Owatonna, Sleepyeye, and Stuartville, as well as the proposed facility in Canton.
A proposal for a Campus Improvement Plan Agreement was shared by Stockwell Engineering. Throughout a six month process, they would work closely with city officials to develop a five year plan to prioritize projects. Once the CIP is completed, it would need to be revised once a year. City council members were shown a copy of the CIP for Harrisburg. The council voted to approve the agreement.
Stockwell Engineering proposed a Waste Water Treatment Facility Operations Assistance Agreement. This agreement would provide assistance 2-6 hours a day, three days a week, and/or hourly as needed. A proposed agreement from Banner was also shared. The council voted to table this decision until the next meeting.
Alan Ratliff was chosen as the LCEDA Representative.
The council voted to approve payment for the 2015 audit report.
The board went into executive session at 8:30 to discuss personnel. After executive session, the City council made a motion to put an ad in the paper for public relations director.
The next meeting will be held on February 16.
